it’s always been a part of me
“I think you’ve found your thing,” a friend said to me, not long after she finished reading my memoir.
I’ve loved to write since I was only a young child, lacking lessons in sentence structure and punctuation. But it didn’t stop me from telling stories.
I entered my first writing competition in the first grade and continued to do so until my writing shifted from simpleton stories and rhyming words, to history papers and college essays.
As motherhood quickly consumed my life, the desire to create and tell stories, specifically my story, lingered over my shoulder. In my memoir, ‘Mother With A Loud Mind’, I discuss what it was like to rediscover my hidden desire to write; a desire that changed my life in an unexpected, but timely way.
And today, I’m here. Writing and telling stories and forming connections with women just like me.
My current work in progress is a novel, in which I have full creative liberty to make the characters say and do whatever I wish. It has turned on a light behind my eyes and reignited a passion for creative writing that I wasn’t even sure still existed.
I can’t thank you enough for being here and supporting my work. My dreams are now reality because of readers like you.

Praise for ‘Mother With A Loud Mind’
“Morgan has a way of writing and shaping her narrative that is impressive, compelling, and beautifully/painfully real as hell!!!!! While I am famously not a parent and can’t speak to the same experiences, a lot of the themes Morgan reflects on are relatable and meaningful for any person that has struggled with a mental health diagnosis that affected their perception of themselves and their relationships.”

This is so beautifully written. The real and raw parts of motherhood are usually skipped over but Morgan sharing her experiences was so relatable. I don’t often cry reading a book but I found myself in her shoes and it was relieving knowing I’m not alone. Love love love!

Morgan was able to put feelings into powerful words and created a book I felt SO connected to for so many reasons. I devoured it in one sitting. This is a must read for all mamas in the depths of motherhood, marriage, and self discovery. 10/10! You won’t regret picking up this book!

You’ll want to read more from this author. Morgan’s way of writing makes you feel an emotional connection while reading. I was unable to put this book down. 10/10 recommend.

creating connections through the art of storytelling
Hi, I’m Morgan!
I’m a stay-at-home mom to my son, Everett and daughter, Dallas (no, we’re not Cowboys fans).
My favorite book in the world is The Great Gatsby...but Sarah J. Maas currently has me by the throat.
In my free time I love to crochet, thrift and attempt to sew my children’s clothes...which usually end up thrifted because, well, sewing is hard.
I love beautiful words and profound metaphors. I love Lexapro. I love cheap champagne. I love everything your grandmother would love. I love Christmas. I love that I feel things deeply. I love that I get to call myself a writer now.
But most of all, I love my readers.

“the most regretful people on earth are those who felt the call to creative work, who felt their own creative restive and uprising, and gave to it neither power nor time.”

Want to write?
Here are some tips to get started:
Journal
They say to read as much as you write. It exposes you to different writing styles and can be really helpful in sparking new ideas. But, I’d argue journaling is just as important. Start your day by journaling 1-3 pages of stream of consciousness and watch your creativity skyrocket. I even designed my own 200 page journal to help you implement this practice. Find it here.
Read more about this in the book The Artist’s Way - another book I highly recommend for creatives
Do your reseach
Youtube is home to infinite writing resources. A few of my favorite indie author channels include Bethany Atazadeh, Abbie Emmons & Mandi Lynn Writes.
Do NOT fear oversaturation
There will never be too many writers in the world. And there is no other writer like you. Only you can tell your story; whether it be your own or one that lives inside your head. It’s important, and deserves to be told.
